The arithmetic of attrition: the cost asymmetry of the U.S.–Israel–Iran missile war and why it is unsustainable for the United States
A cost-modelled paper on the U.S.–Israel–Iran air war. The shooting is asymmetric in the wrong direction — the defender spends 3–10× the attacker per salvo and 10–100× per engagement — and the binding constraint is not money but interceptor magazines that take years to refill. Figures generated from the war-cost-sim model; fully cited.
